Trying a New Technique: Batik Watercolors!

I am really loving this new technique of Batik Watercolors. The colors really pop! I was inspired by the work of Margaret Storer-Roche (her website here: http://waterblossoms.blogspot.com/) Spent the 4th of July playing with masking fluid and Shin Han Watercolors (thanks Mom for the paints!!!). Three of them have already gone to new homes. What do you think of my first set of cards?

I admire the work here on your blog, it’s beautiful. These batik colors are so vibrant, yet have such clarity. The technique you’ve used is very much like stained glass — all are gorgeous.

I love them all! Great colors and great designs. I also like the blog background a lot!
